The Parkside Parents Association
September & October Library Volunteers Needed
Parent volunteers are needed to fill 1-hour time slots to come in and shelve library books and/or sight-read the shelves to make sure books are not out of order. It’s a great opportunity to get an inside look at Parkside while doing something to make the library more useful for our children and their teachers.
About the Parkside PA
Every dollar donated, cookie baked, and hour of your time volunteered, makes a tremendous difference to the Parkside community. And we truly are a community.
The PA is led by a committee of dedicated parent volunteers and has three main objectives:
to create an engaged, active and social parent community;
to support the school fundraising efforts; and
to show appreciation for the teachers and staff.
In order to meet our goals, we have various activities that take place over the course of the school year. Examples include: the Parkside Family Photo Book, Parent-Child Dance, Parkside Move Night and PJ Party (siblings included), Valentine’s Day Bake Sale and Kiss-A-Grams Sale, the Spring Benefit, and a Teacher Appreciation Party.
