Celebrating Four Decades of Community
Parkside’s First-Ever All Alumni Reunion
On Sunday, November 16, Parkside proudly hosted its first-ever All Alumni Reunion—a landmark moment in our 40-year history. Nearly 160 alumni, alumni parents, and former and current staff gathered at SLATE to celebrate the school’s enduring mission and the relationships that have carried forward across generations.
The afternoon was filled with meaningful reconnections. Alumni shared stories from their time at Parkside, reflected on the teachers and therapists who supported them, and spoke about the impact their Parkside education continues to have in their lives today. For our leadership team and staff, seeing so many graduates return was profoundly moving. The reunion affirmed the strength of the community we have built together and the lifelong influence of the work that happens inside our classrooms.
One of the most powerful moments of the day came as former students reunited with the educators who guided them during their early years. Watching those warm embraces, heartfelt conversations, and spontaneous bursts of joy was a reminder of why Parkside’s mission remains as vital today as it was 40 years ago. These connections—rooted in trust, care, and shared experience—are the heart of who we are.
We are grateful to every alum, parent, and staff member who joined us in celebrating this milestone. And a special thank you goes to alumni parent Heidi Green, whose beautiful photography captured the spirit of the afternoon and allows us to share that joy with our entire community.
